MOBILE ISLAND HOPPING GUIDED SAFARIS

Ibo Island Lodge is the only operator to offer fully guided tailor made and scheduled departure mobile island hopping dhow and kayak safaris. Under the expert leadership of a pro guide and a local crew, explore a coastline and new destination fringed by tropical islands. Combine with sea kayaking and dhow sailing up wide coastal river mouths teeming with red listed bird species and pristine mangrove forests. Snorkel off deserted white sandbanks and into turquoise sea, and sleep in mobile eco fly camps on uninhabited tropical islands.

The crew conjures up fresh seafood and traditional cuisine over an open fire under island stars, leaving you free to soak up a once in a lifetime Mozambican Adventure.  We have been actively involved in northern Mozambique and Ibo Island for the last 19 years. With this knowledge we are able to offer a truly unique Mozambican experience for adventurers, seeking an un-equalled island and cultural exploration in one of the last undeveloped places in Africa.

This is adventure safari travel at its best!

Dear Ibo Island Lodge Team. We came to visit this special place on the recommendation of our ornithologist friend & bird guide, Malcolm Wilson, and he is right. Ibo Island Lodge is fantastic! We loved watching the wonders from the roof top of the front, we loved the historical tour with Anli and the sand bank trip with Cosmo (humpback dolphins, humpback whale breaching)… Felicity and her team created a stylish and comfortable atmosphere, and the chef and his team cooked up wonders (crab, prawns, lobster & garden fresh goodies)! A big thank you to all, and compliments to Rob for ensuring that Ibo Island Lodge is a place we shall want to come back to. All the best.
